While I was being interviewed for the role at The National Lottery, it was explained to me that they wanted to branch out from their usual corporate style of content and make videos, specifically short form videos, that people would actually want to watch.
This is part of what I delivered for the interview brief:
Immediately coming from being the editor of a reality dating show,
this was a change of pace for me!
I'd never made content for a company as corporate as TNL and as far as corporate companies go, the state-franchised Lottery is a definite high ranker.
It was a challenge! Especially as I like to push the ball but part of the fun was making videos that I felt proud of whilst adhering to all the many rules and regulations assigned by the Gambling Commission.
(there are so many regulations😵💫)
My team and I were tasked with making a video around the theme "Review of the Year".
The idea of this requested bit of content was to piggyback off of what Spotify are able to do every year with their "Spotify Wrapped" feature.
Using the data we were given for the year, my team and I were able to come up with this.

When s̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶l̶u̶c̶k̶y̶ ̶b̶a̶s̶t̶a̶r̶d a player was fortunate enough to win, I was tasked with heading up to their location with a camera kit, filming and interviewing the winner with the list of questions thought up by the social team, and then editing the videos up for social according to the brief.

Here's an example:)
